I'll be honest with you
Getting to this point wasn't easy.
When I first quit my marketing role and started out as an artist,
I had no money, no audience and no plan.
But I was determined to make it work. So I climbed on the social media treadmill and tried to stay consistent, even boosting posts (💲) to see if I could get more engagement & followers.
Eventually I started to get some sales 🥳.
But only an odd commission here and there - not enough to cover my costs let alone something I could live on.

I didn't know where my next sale was coming from and it felt like I was shouting into an empty void on Instagram.
So I tried...
- Selling through online galleries, Etsy and in person art fairs (but I was relying on my ideal buyers finding me not the other way around).
- Building a fancy website (only for it to sit there looking pretty).
- Chased & haggled potential clients, even lowering prices to try get more sales (this got me some sales but ultimately undervalued my work and wasn’t sustainable).
But then...
After 3 years of struggling alone, constant overwhelm and inconsistent sales, everything ground to a halt.

I felt constantly overwhelmed; with no time to actually focus on creating my art.
